New headset

Hi been looking at some headsets to buy for gaming and movies i have £100 budget so far the corsair 1500 sounds good but id there any others that are better for the price range?

Presuming by headset you mean you want the microphone built in, I have never had any luck with "gaming" headsets, mediocre sound qauility and build qaulity, combined with the random chance of a terrible microphone.

Best bet is to go with a decent pair of Sennheiser's and a good desktop microphone, currently in college so not sure on the ones I have, will post back soon as I am home but it's one of the best things I have ever bought

EDIT: Shouldn't this be in Sound City?

Yeah was just making sure because some people say headphones for headsets and vice versa

My last pair was razer chararefce however you spell it, they where terrible for the price I payed lol.

yea sadly i cannot use a desktop mic though as i have nowhere to rest it i am sat pretty far from my pc desk

Ive personally been using a Logitech g35 7.1 surround for gaming and films etc sounds great and really comfy about £90 so slightly under budget

I have got a Corsair 1300 and am happy with it. Not fantastic sound quality, but it's still very pleasant to play games and listen to music. Comfortable to.

Checkout the Gamecom 780, plenty of rave reviews (Both user and site).

Got a pair coming tomorrow myself, only thing is...OcUK seem to sell out their stock within a few days of getting it! It's less than £40 most places.

I've had the G35 and wasn't all that impressed. It's unlike Logitech but the quality was pretty poor and certainly isn't worthy of the price point.

thanks for the replies guys give me a great idea of getting the Audio Technica ATH-M50 headphones and a clip on mic a lot of places are recommending those headphones as the best price performance ones money can buy
