New headunit time

Some towrag got in to the motor and stole my whole ice setup last night

As a result im after a new headunit. I need something which will plug into my ipod.
The unit i had was an alpine 9856r with a kca420i adaptor, fortunately, they were unable to disconnect the kca420.

So any ideas?

dont like the display on them, ive seen the 9887r, bit pricey...also i cant see whats the difference between this and my previous unit 9856r..
