new honda civic gallery

I think the are refreshlingly different to most other cars on the road. Because of this I think they will sell well.

IMO they are much better looking than the old one. I like them they are qwirky. Makes a change a manufacturer coming away from the normal boxs we see.

Drove both the diesel and the petrols the other day.

Very nice cars inside, absolutely love it, its like drving the star ship enterprise.

I thought the diesel performance would be a lot better than what it was but it was a still a very comfortable ride and the car handled itself quite well.

It's getting a similar reaction to the Focus when that was first released.

Now think how "normal" a Focus looks.

Same will happen with this Civic I think.

I take it you are what, 17 or 18? Great, somebody else thinking of loading themselves up with 5 figure finance packages they'll pay paying off for years at an early age.....

Nutters.
Get a CRX!

Saw a new Civic while in France and pictures do not do justice to the scale of ugliness that this car achieves. At least the Multipla's looks actually had a purpose (big interior with three-abreast seating)....the Civic just looks odd for the sake of it.

As if I needed any more reasons to never buy a Civic, Honda found a way to give me another one..... :p:D

I thought it looked pretty good in pics and from afar; but I went to look at one at they are truly horrible closeup. The cyclops front end looks like cheap plastic from a kids toy, and it ruins the whole thing. It's no great surprise that it's apparantly been removed for the Type-R version.

I walked by one the other day and I just thought it was the most horrible looking car available. It looked much better in pictures and on TV but in the flesh I never want to see it again.

they could have done a better job with the back end like make the tail-lights flush and flat fitting with the bodywork

I am 22 this year. Currently own a 2003 1.6 golf. :p my cousin is 22.

I think they're awful.

Was out with my mate the other day and we saw one. He pointed at it and said "Is that the new Civic?" I replied yes and he pretty much laughed for about 3 hours.

That's TWO people who think it's ridiculous!

Well they are certainly taking a chance with the new shape, its pretty radical, some will love it some will hate it.

The type R looks nice, but Im not too kean on the lesser models with the black plastic 205 arches and the small wheels.

I have seen a couple, but only flying past me in oncoming traffic and that,

I got a proper upclose look at one yesterday though, it looked quite nice, Im not too sure if I could live with it every day, it may have to grow on you slightly but yer, I like it a lot.

I don't think there was a Honda in the last 10 years that wouldn't divide motoring forum. Not a single one. The only group that Honda never divides is pensioners. They would buy Jazz and HR-Vs, Legends, stupid looking civics, boring looking civics, off road onroaders, on road off roaders, slow coupe lookalikes, and if you look at Autoexpress annual roundups, even S2000's.

And now they queue for new Civic too.

There is just no way for Honda to shake them off.

You'll see, a year from now most of you will think "I'd really like new Civic Type R but oh my god, in that stupid yellow it's just one red badge away from all the grannies shopping midday at Bluewater"

\Says the guy in blue almera. Diesel\
