Not too long ago I made a thread here asking for advice on various parts I was going to be ordering for my new build. This was my first ever self build. The computer before it I brought, but had a friend help me with assemble.

There's still a few bits I need to sort, it seems my Blu Ray drive doesn't want to play DVDs - I have the software installed - I can't figure it out, but any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, you may/may not have seen that there's no mobo light, I don't really know why, I've had a good look inside but I can't find any cables that aren't plugged in. Any ideas?

I brought everything from OCUK :)

With cable management.

Nice.

The HAF is such a distinctive case I can't help but think "hey, that's my PC" whenever I see it in pics.

But I can tell yours apart form mine by the superior cable management (that and mine isn't filled with such high-end components :()

I did start out quite well with my cable management, but I don't have a modular PSU and I basically got fed up with it after routing the main cables through the side panel.

You have inspired me, though, to get back inside my rig and tidy up those last few stray cables! :D Looks nice.

nice :) only thing i can fault is that it's a shame that the HAF doesn't have dust filters, quite a lot of maintanance cleaning it out.

Well done great build there fella. How long did the build take from starting ,all the way to having the OS installed?

Hmm, I started yesterday(wed) at 2pm, had it together by about 6pm. But I had problems with the bios, it seems - for this board - you need to enable the usb keyboard to press a key when asking the computer to boot from disc, even though the kyeboard worked when turning the option on in the bios.

Today, from 9am till about 1pm I spent doing cable management and installing software.

Going to get more parts at the end of this month for it too, maybe a SSD and sound card.
