Ive just reinstalled win7 and now my samsung evo 840 have a write speed of 150, thought it was the drive so tried a crucial m4 and its the same. My mainboard is a gigabyte z68ap d3.... please help as its doing my head in forgot to mention that the read speed is about 500

checked you in ahci mode in the bios/sata ports? you should be by default but double check anyway

made sure your on the intel sata ports?

They are in the white intel ports, in the bios it is set to ahci & the cables are not changed. All that has changed is that I tried out a new drive on a seperate PCIE sata 3 controller. I have tried to reset the bios by clearing the Cmos & removing the battery and installing win7 again. I will be putting my new evo 850 in later and reinstall the OS later. The current setup is a 60gb crucial drive 0 & the samsung evo 840 120gb as drive 1. I'm now puzzled as these were fine and confused at teh read speeds ar great but the write is dire.

sorted it but was an odd way round it, put one drive in only and installed the OS and it was sorted :) added the second drive and all is well :)
