Please help, have installed new motherboard, processor and ram
motherboard
Gigabyte F2A85XM-D3H AMD A85X Chipset (Socket FM2) DDR3 micro ATX Motherboard

apart from melting my VFD display by forgetting to connect a wee cable  the pc is booting up and can get into bios, but the screen seems to be split in half, you can scroll the mouse all the way to the edge of the screen and it appears on the otherside.

have tried adjusting tv settings but no avail. Am going to try installing windows and then the drivers and see if theres a bios update, unless someone knows how to resolve?

thanks

Phew - installed my old graphics card and its now fine!! Wonder what was wrong though originally, still at least now i can do this force option to combine my card plus the onboard graphics!!

Good to see you got it sorted. What card are you using for hybrid xfire?

An ancient nvidia 8500gt. With a whopping 256mb ram!. Annoyed though as this is only for a media pc so wanted to do away with a dedicated card but just as well I had it.

feel such a noob, had a look in the manual again, and realised i hadnt set the onboard gpu in bios correctly, but not touching it now its working!!

You will not be able to use that card for hybrid xfire as it is an Nvidia card. If you want to to use hybrid xfire, you will need a HD 6670. But this will also depend on what ram you have, as the onboard graphics OCs with faster ram. So I would enable the onboard Gpu and OC it, it is likely a lot better than the 8500gt.

Ram GeIL EVO Leggera 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-14900C10 1866MHz Dual Channel Kit (GEL38GB1866C10DC)

Will have a look later after finished installing updates thanks

All up and running dont want to tinker too much bit must say am impressed with the speed and responsiveness of the system. Made such a difference going from sata 1 to 3 and noticing a difference with usb 3 as well. Happy chappy so far
