I compared one randomly picked Q9450 to a randomly picked X3350, Go look on Xtremesystems they are the better chip compaired to Q9450's

If you shop around a bit they can be had cheaper, but the resale on Xeons is carp compared to the equivalent Q chip as people have to know what they are buying.

Only time will tell on that. The only comparison I have is the old 939 opterons. I never had a problem selling them off, there always seemed to be a few elite guys that would snap them up at auction, I wouldnt be surprised to see these new xeons holding their price
Its also worth noting dual xeons like the 3060 sold for quite a bit 2nd hand at the time, always wanted one but as they didnt perform significantly or at all better than the equivalent c2d desktop chips I just gave up looking for a cheap one.

It's literally impossible to get hold of a retail X3350 in the UK, theres not one :/
