I thought they were thicker than the ipod touch G1?
Thicker in the middle but not on the top and bottom. It's Apple's new way of being sneaky.

Restore and Update fixed it.
Crap screenshot, I know. OS X doesn't have something simple like Paint to blur/erase/edit basic images so I have to upload to splashup.com and edit online

I will try this out shortly, The sharing online part is not a big issue for me as I have some webspace. Just want a simple thick application (not web based) that can do for me what MSPaint did on windows. i.e. take screenshot, cut out bits of data with a square/circle/eraser tool etc. I can't find anything built in Leopard that does this (to me) simple task.Get yourself set up on Skitch and you'll never need anything else for basic screenshots etc
*drools*
wants one
how easy is it to convert an xvid to play on it?
OK, bad start.
Itunes says there is an update 2.1.1 (unit had 2.1 on it). I downloaded it, it extracted, then I got an error in iTunes (cannot update error 63?). iPod no longer seen by iTunes. Replugged in and now iTunes says it has detected it in recovery mode!! Doing a Restore & Update now

Exactly what Skitch does, plus it has the benefit of uploading the image with one click. It really is a must have app for OS X.
BT Openzone wi-fi is available in a lot of place around the West End now. The entire Oxford Street is covered, and in all sorts of other places I turn mine on and it finds BT Openzone all the time.
If you have a subscription to BT Openzone (£5 per month for 500 minutes, £17 per month for 2000 minutes) then you can use any of the BT Openzone hotspots all around London (and other places).
Also, you have no way of controlling the volume or pausing when its in your pocket due to all the controls being on the touch screen.

Do much research before buying?![]()
