New JK Rowling Project.

It's not an interactive treasure hunt. LOL at the Times and their **** churnalists.

Sounds pretty good actually, can't wait for it to go live.

money money money...when will it ever end

so basically this is just a social website that is going to get spammed full of 12 year olds drawings of harry with an e-store tagged on for good measure.

well worth the wait this :p:p:p

You'd have thought that her millions would be enough that she didn't feel the need to milk her books any further. Obviously not though.

I bet a Harry Potter MMO RPG would make an absolute mint.

i can see it now

Voldemort : ahh harry potter the boy who lived, you not live this time *casts killing curse*

harry : what a noob we on a carebear server and I'm not flaged for pvp, so am off to buy a pound of butter and see if Hermione want some butterballs

I'm quite excited by it, mainly by the prospect of new content. I'll see what it's like and will no doubt sign up when it's up and running.

JK Rowling is one of the few female billionaires and the first billionaire author; she donates over a million pound a year to charity- She is not looking for more money, although I have no doubt she will make a packet from the newly proposed e-book options alone!

I was hoping for a Harry Potter Universe MMORPG, but it seems like we'll be getting a place to share fan fiction with some contributions from JK herself, and an e-store tacked on.

This was more disappointing than not recieving my Hogwarts owl :p

The social element would be very rich - the customisation, the costumes, crafts, skills, abilities etc... I imagine it could be very rewarding if taken on by the right company i.e. Blizzard?

I genuinely thought that's what the announcement would be and was impressed that no gaming companies let slip anything at E3... How naive eh? :p

I can't see an mmo ever working it working tbh. It's main appeal would be younger kids. Chances are younger kids wouldn't be able to pay for a monthly subscription, unless they have naive and stupid parents.

Why would Blizzard make a Harry Potter mmo, as they are both Fantasy, it would be a direct competitor to World of Warcraft, they would be shooting themselves in the foot, repeatedly.
