A similar thing happened when I worked at Ladbrokes a few years ago. A new member of staff joined, and every time he worked with me, and I went away for lunch etc, I would come back and there would suddenly be £100 or £200 missing from the safe/till. Same thing would happen when he worked with others. It was so obvious he was stealing straight from the safe, where there were no cameras as it was in a staff area. I called him out on it once and he got very aggressive and threatened to get physical. He was a psycho. No way would they dare take it from our pay though.
Fortunately I left soon after anyway to a much better job.
