New Katana RGB lighting problem

I expect this is stupid and I am missing the obvious. I have just received my new built Katana, and it runs great, but the RGB lighting on it does not change or turn it off when I use the hand control. It looks very nice if you like RGB, but there must be a way to turn it off or change the pattern. The small light on the hand control flashes when I push a button, but nothing changes. Turning the lighting off in the bios does alter the motherboard small lights, but all the fan lights and back of the memory etc stay the same.
What have I missed please., or will l I have to wat for help until Monday.

It sounds like maybe the RGB is being controlled by/sync with the motherboard instead of via the case? Did it come with software installed?

Hand control?
Wireless controller?
If so it might be infrared and signal is being blocked

Can also try install signal rgb (free version)
See if it detects anything

Also as tetras said
Check for any preinstalled rgb software
No idea of the specs
But things like asus aura, asus armoury crate, gigabyte fusion etc
Previously mentioned signal rgb is way better than those anyway

No, Windows was loaded, but at startup I went through the new user setup, and apart from the usual windows, I can see no other software. It might have missed a step in the build, because the Bios was dated November 2023, which I have now updated to 7th August just gone, I would have thought that would have been the first thing. Problem is I am not familiar with RGB, and assumed turning off aura light I think its called in bios would switch it all off. In fact I did not see the remote control at first, assumed there would be a switch somewhere. Awesome PC though, very pleased with the hardware.

Sorry was that no the answer to
Is it a wireless controller?

If its got aura in the bios
Probably an Asus motherboard
My asus has bios options to turn aura on/off
Can choose options for sleep, power on ,power off etc
What the built in rgb does in each state

But if I install asus armoury crate
It actually over rides the bios settings
But then does give the option to control fan rgb etc
In the bios only controls the leds and oled built into my motherboard
Doesn't give control of fan rgb,led strips etc in bios
Armoury crate sucks tbh
Definitely worth trying signal rgb
It controls everything in my pc including rgb from 7 different manufacturers

I have downloaded several signal controllers apps, I could not find a specific one called signal RGB, and the ones I did install, I backed off when they wanted access to data not needed, two of them any data they wanted. I use my phone for banking so need to be careful, having been scammed some while back.

What I did find from a visual look, was a few wires coming from the RGB controller box mounted on an SSD mount, which went to the motherboard going to an ADD GEN 2 connector, which was right next to the Aura RGB HEADER connector which has nothing going to it. Is it possible this is a build error, or does it get Sync pulses from it, and not use the Aura RGB Header. The motherboard on the Katana is the Asus Rog Strix B760-F Gaming WIFI.

Add gen 2 headers
You have 3 of those (1 at bottom of board next to Aura header)
Aura header looks like have 1
Add gen 2 are addressable 5v and 3 pin
Even though the connectors same size as 4 pin
One pin isn't used
Aura header is 4 pin and 12v
These are NOT interchangeable 12v will blow 5v leds
Should you somehow manage to make a connection

If ocuk built it using fans with addressable leds
Then no it shouldn't be on the Aura header
They look similar but shouldn't be able to put them on wrong one

We still don't know if it's a wireless controller?
Which has been asked couple times

Did you choose a case which might also have button led control?
Such as phanteks?
If so may also be wired to change by button on case

Signal rgb is a pc app (not sure if there's mobile version)
But in your instance we are referring to pc software not phone
And it's here
