Hi there guys I'm looking for new keyboard for gaming. I saw K70 RGB on sale for 129.99 and I dont know if it's a good choice so I'm asking for your opinion.

Also I have few questions:

1. Does the colours mix eg if I have all key white except lets say wasd which I would want red. Would there be any pink glow around?

2. What is that about colours it says 16m colours but some people say it's not?

3. Some people reported issues with lightning flickering wrong colour?

4. How is Corsair warranty in terms of customer service and where are they based if I need to send it back for RMA?

There is a lot of glow around the base of the keys compared to how much light comes through the key...something the new keycaps on the new strafe keyboard seems to fix. If you enable 16 million colour mode then animated colours can flicker VERY badly, so much so as to be near useless depending on the colours you use; If you're more likely to set a coloured layout that doesnt animate on keypresses then you will never notice any flicker.

Other than the issues with the lighting the keyboard itself is solid and well made and nice to type on.
I read Corsair now have a UK rma address.

1. Not really.

2. It does now have 16m colours, but it took ~7 months for a firmware update that enabled 16m colours.

3. If you use 16m colour mode (they`ve included an option to stick to 512 colours, and therefore not have the flicker) and you use animated effects, especially fairly slow colour changes, there is a noticeable flicker across all of the keys. It may or may not be a deal breaker, but it certainly isn't the smooth colour changing that you'd expect. It does look a bit poor to be honest.

4. I`ve not tested their RMA service, as I sent mine back for a refund due to the flicker.

Overall, it's a decent keyboard, very solid and nice design. I'd wait to see if Corsair update the hardware to give better colour animation, if that's what you want. I'd also wait and see what Ducky provide with their RGB keyboard. However, if you aren't too bothered about the flicker, Corsair's RGB keyboards are not a bad choice.

I dont know if I should buy it as if there is a lot of glow they are likely to mix. Would you recommend any other keyboard preferably with cherry mx red switches?

There is a fair amount of glow around each key, but the colours don't mix.

Another thing to mention is that even at maximum brightness, the keys are not very bright. Bright enough, but they could do with a bit more brightness, if that's what you want.
