Regarding re-using my existing ram memory, I have 4Gb of ddr3 1600MHZ would Buying two more to make up to 8Gb viable.My corsair ram, supplied as part of a bundle is CMX6GX3M3A1600C9. X2 giving 4Gb. it actually reads 1600 6Gb (3x2gb)9-9-9-24 would they match up to a new pair?

The real question is what are using your pc for as that determines spec and budget.

I intend on using MSI 460 gtx oc from old system.
Running XP PRO AND WINDOWS 7 I want to replay some of my old games and then upgrade GPU for some more recent ones.
I stream tv video music etc. entertainment.

A 120 GB SSD isn't big enough. Go for a 240+ GB SDD.

If you're interested, the latest COD: Black Ops seems to like 8+ GB VRAM and 16 GB RAM, so go for either a R9 390 or a Titan X for your gaming needs.

I7 system with 16gb ram and psu has 7 years warranty and i believe its fully modular event thou its not stated.
