Hi,
We’re looking at getting a new kitchen and think we know what we want but just wanted to sense check the price.
We’d be looking at 9 base units (including three corner, one bin unit, and a big larder pull out), and three wall units as well as integrated doors for washing machine and dishwasher.
We’ve been quoted £7050 in a Shakar style, 22mm wood with a laminated grain for units.
£2500 for 3.4sqm of 20mm Callacatta stone worktop.
£2955 for installation, including gas, plumbing, plastering of walls and skimming ceiling (removing spot lights), removal of old kitchen and “a few new electric sockets”.
We’d still need to buy an integrated dishwasher, sink, tap, integrated washing machine, range oven and cooker hood.
Ive been to Wren as well and their units are cheaper, but only 18mm. Their worktop is much more expensive (£4.2k) but I have had some quotes for 3-3.5k for similar to the 2.5 quote I’ve got. They advised to get my own fitters which I’m struggling with. The first quote include their own (subcontracted) fitters who I know did a good job on someone else’s kitchen.
I’ve got an independent company coming to measure tomorrow but imagine they will be even dearer.
So, does the first quote sound fair?
I’ve priced it on DIYKITCHENS and units are £4339. However, have same issue with fitters and my partner isn’t convinced. Rather use a shop.
This is the plan I’ve made though:
