from what i had seen from that vid, yes you can.

really loved the pacing of it. was getting quite and i was going to turn it off and then all of a sudden they just come from everywhere.

Still not sure about the whole fast zombies thing, its just not right. Also having them so quick kind of stops you being able to mess about with them and have a laugh as much.

With it being released for consoles now I'm also concerned about it being dumbed down and too easy now.

Still, I'll buy it.

With them being fast it makes the game more fast paced and action packed. I could not see this game being half as good if the zombies simply slothed around while you picked them off from range easily.

Nah, this is Valve. They will release the console version to make the fat American kids not feel left out, and then set about providing masses of free awesome content for the PC version only.

The whole point of zombie games is the sheer amount of them being the issue, not their skills/agility. Overcoming insane numbers of the things is the most fun, its just hilarious/panic inducing being chased by 15 human controlled zombies on ZP:S, even though they aren't moving very fast.

Having slower/weaker "zombies" gives the player more of a chance to pick different tactics and work around weaknesses, but clearly L4D isn't going for that angle, it's going for the all out fast and furious 'action', which is fair enough but I bet it will get old quick.
