New Lappy drive

I'm currently waiting for the new western digital WD3200BEVT 320gb 2.5" drive to become available, but are there any other drives I should consider? Also that drive is 5400rpm, would a 7200rpm be faster? :confused:

A 7200rpm drive will be faster but also generally hotter and more power hungry. The Seagate 7200.2s have a pretty good specification but 200gb is the largest version that OcUK sell. I'm also quite fond of Hitachi notebook drives but that is simply because I bought a good one a few years back.

The 7k200 family would be much faster eg

Thanks david25. Went for the 250gig WD Scorpio in the end, needed the space. Excellent drive, dead silent, and got it for £90 delivered
