Hey folks,

Hope you may be able to give me the nod on one of two laptops; I'll be using it for work and a bit of multimedia but will really be a typing frenzy and web research so lots of hours sat in front of it. I'm looking at picking up either the Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E530 or Samsung NP550P5C-A02UK; specs as follows:

Lenovo E530
Intel Core i5-3210M Processor
15.6W HD+ Matte
Intel HD4000 Integrated Graphics
6 GB DDR3
500 GB Hard Disk Drive, 7200rpm
Cost: £550-00
Build looks pretty good and great keyboard by all accounts. 2 weeks to deliver from Lenovo however and that is a real downside as I need asap.

Samsung NP550P5C
Intel Core i5-3210M Processor
15.6W HD Matte
Intel HD4000 Integrated Graphics
6 GB DDR3
1TB Hard Disk Drive, 5400rpm
Cost: £599-00
Looks like a great machine - nice build quality (actually handled one of these but haven't seem the E530 close quarters) but is the extra £50-00 worth it for immedaite buy and piece of mind that I've actually handled the product.

Any help much appreciated.

Is it something to do with the HD+ Matte screens that I'm missing? as these two, for the price, don't seem all that great to me.

What about Acer Aspire V3-571G, same CPU, dedicated graphics and 8g DDR3 - can be had for £541.97 - for example
or
Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3-581TG, not as fast CPU, but 20g SSD + 500g SATA, 10g RAM and dedicated graphics for £549.97

Hey Doggy, yeh the matte screen is quite important for me as I often need to work outside and under strip lights. I looked at the Acers and wasn't overly keen on the keyboards - not very responsive and, as I say, that (and the screen) are probably the most important for me.
