So I've been looking for a new car for a fair while now, test driven a fair number of things from Civic Type R, Audi S3, Focus ST and after much deliberation I decided on a totally different car.. A Mazda 3 MPS. I have seen a couple of these on the forums here and decided to try one out and I was astounded by it for both value for money and looks.

Just given her a jolly good clean inside and out and she takes a nice photo :)

Money shots below!

@ Diagro, I got it for £6500 with 44k miles on the clock

@ scratch, Yeah I can understand how the coluor can be unfavorable to some but I like it :)

That looks great could you get some pics of the interior?
Saw a silver one the other day which looked real nice! :)

Very nice - I had the non-MPS 2.0 one and it was great fun to drive, I can imagine yours is brilliant to drive.

@geekman She certainly goes like something off a shovel I will give her that lol

@luck13 I will get some later and either upload them today or tomorrow :)

I do like the stealth factor of these cars, it could easily be a standard 1.6 'Sport' from the outside (apart from MPS badge) with no hint of the 256bhp under the bonnet :)

Only thing I really dislike are the "Lexus" style rear lights that Mazda thought were a good idea for some bizarre reason.

Yeah £475 tax for 12 months, that's the most painful thing! It is going to be lightly modded by my fathers company www.hydrocoatings.co.uk so some interior trim will be carbon fibre dipped. The wheels are going to be anthracite grey and the calipers are going dark candy blue. I will be taking it to japfest next year as a show car for the stand. :)

People have said why didn't I want the aero kit on it but as you say Nath I do love her as she looks as it's unexpected when it pulls away :D

I'd like to head up to the next rolling road in it as I am curious as to her true performance :) Also she is in need of a name if anyone would like to help me. A friend did suggest... "Geoff..." But yeah once I explained all cars are girls he then drew a blank!

Wishing you many miles of insane fun! :D

Have you considered Victoria for a name? Seems nice and normal on the surface but every victoria i've ever known has had a wicked side hidden away!
