New livestock for the farm - duel xeon

Update on the farm and a bit of help needed to reach full potential.

Biggest 24h crunch yesterday at 1600+ points (average up to 1000 now )
been getting so many 56 pointers it's untrue, so theirs room for a higher max

in order of 'observered' crunching potential.

1x P4 1.7GHz / 512MB
1x P4 1.8GHz / 768MB
1x P4 2.0GHz / 512MB
1x P3 1.2GHz / 768MB (tualatin core oc to 1.5)
4x P4 2.7Ghz / 512MB
4x P4 3.0Ghz / 512MB
1x P4 3.2Ghz / 512MB

all the above are running well (most on 116 pointers )but I'm as yet unable to get the duel xeon server to crunch. could be a firewall issue, but don't know how to reconfigure it.

new rig - 805D on P5WD2 premium - I'll be happy with 3.6 but going for more

will do, thanks for the warning - gave the case a good hoover to - don't think it's ever run at 100% for more that an hour before but 'redundent' psu fan still not active so temps not that bad in case yet.

But upgarde to 805 was always going to happen, my P3 just can't do XP or video editing on its agp card

new rig build, xp installed and updated (forgot how long that takes) currently testing, inital benchmarks etc, etc.

new rig up and running - in a rubbish old case (no fans except heatsink and PSU ) so as you can imagine I've not OC'ed yet in this heat.

Posted it's first WU this morning (9 hours crunch) and was half way through another WU on the other core

what benchmarks and stuff or folding - first WU was 80ppd at 50%

plenty of room for improvement

at 50% so 160ppd not bad for a 2.6, but yes room for improvement

I realise we're all in the same boat it's just that my Farm has only reached it's full potential once (for three days).

Any way bottom line is all WU are important for the science, and I do have 30+ threads working for me so can't really grumble

Borg stage two received final permission today

- plus 5 PC's (10 threads) working 8-6 monday-friday as of monday 9am

Borg stage three & four in consultation

not actually my work's (I'm the IT manager here, so our PC's are already Folding 22/7 )
the 5 new borgs are upstairs in another office, asked the boss and after a week of explaining what Folding is and does he said yes.

Its an accountants so low cpu usage too, don't tell anyone but I'm working on the whole business park
