New Logo on forum

Hmm....Just trying the black theme for a change...bit weirf on the eyes at first...see what happens.

I do agree..the logo from the OcUK main page is nicer on the eyes than the current forum one.

I for one, welcome our new forum logo!

Also, does anyone have a black and white theme for stylish on OcUK? I want it to look as basic as possible as I "use" at work.

Currently just using some basic CSS script which does an adequate job but now the blue background logo looks bloomin' ridiculous.

Cheers!

After seeing this yesterday I thought it was a nice change, but now I don't like the glow or reflection. They aren't really needed and dare I say take away the professional look. It also looks blurry. :(

Overall if these were fixed, great new logo.

lol At the original wonky edition logo.
This logo looks much better than the old one, nice work.
I think it's sad that it's difficult to incorporate a Union Jack into the logo, as I'm all for patriotism and being proud of where your from no matter what country your from. But every time I looked the old one it it made me cringe as it always made me think 'BNP', which to be honest detracted me from visiting, shopping or referring people to here for a long time.

:p

Even though the company has quite clearly nothing to do with it :p Makes sense

The company had a bad rep for a while (and in some peoples eyes still do), people speak to eachother and people post in other forums, the union jack imagery didn't help this thanks to the widespread public use of it by the BNP. Is this right or wrong? It doesn't really matter. Most people will not spend hours on a forum getting to know people, the community, whether or not the staff are honest and willing to help people out. If there's a negative connotation with a company they'll simply shop at another one, especially in an online market as competitive as OcUK's.

I don't want to start a discussion about this but wanted to highlight how important public image and brand awareness is and mention how I felt the new logo was a good step in the right direction. I like it. :)

That says a lot more about you than it does about OcUK though. :p Quite interesting (and saddening) to see how society at large now has been hijacked to the level that even our own flag has racist connotations. :(

Maybe, but it wasn't simply the imagery or just the logo by any means, it was that in addition to ex-customer feedback and discussions on other forums that actually brought my attention to the potential association. At the time I hadn't spent a lot of time on here and I didn't want to shop at or recommend people to a company based on that information even if there's a possibility it could be true. It's easier to just place an order at another online etailer and be done with it, why take the risk? (Obviously now I know how lovely you all are ;), or most of you anyway, well...at least some of you :p)
