Hi. Son has an Asus G15 strix laptop which is going really well. We upgraded to a second 1TB M.2 drive but this is now full. What is the best way to replace the original boot drive (a 500GB M.2 drive)? The laptop only has 2 M.2 slots so we need to look at replacing that drive. Could we replace the second drive we installed, clone the boot drive and then put the 1TB back in after taking out the original 500GB?

You could also buy an m2 caddy and clone the original drive externally, macrium reflect is a good cloning free software

Thanks for the info everyone. Samsung 970 EVO PLUS 2TB bought along with M.2 enclosure. Macrium Free downloaded and disc now cloning using the supplied usb C to usb C cable. Fingers crossed it all goes to plan.
