Hi all,

I’ve just got a WD M2 500gb to replace my Samsung 850evo 500gb drive.

The 850 evo has Windows 10 and all my programs. For some reason when I look in Disk Management the ssd has five partitions although I only have one main one. Four are tiny recovery and other things, about 200mb each.
Can I just select the main large partition in Macrium Reflect and clone to the M2 or do I need the others too?

The other option is to install a fresh copy of Windows 10 64bit and have this purely for Steam gaming (Assetto Corsa with Steam Index) with the current ssd for my music production software etc. Could I then have a dual boot scenario? Is this possible to set up?

Thank you, mikeo. Will do it exactly as is then.
So the 850 evo drive will be removed completely after cloning. I take it I should unplug all other drives before cloning and plugging in again only after the M2 is booted up as the main drive?

Yep. That's the best way. Though I never clone myself. I take a complete disk level backup of the boot drive. Then remove old drive, add new drive, boot from a recovery disk and restore the backup to the new drive. Use acronis true image myself (paid version). And that's the way they recommend.

Though cloning the drive should work ok. It's just that taking a backup first gives you a fall back if anything goes wrong.

Good luck.

I did this at work today to upgrade the SSD in a lappy. Just connected both to a spare machine and booted Clonezilla from a USB stick and let it rip. Cloned all partitions and boot sectors/bits and the replacement booted right up no problems :)
