I think fortunately for them they weren't "spectacularly" bad like some of the old Microsoft ones i.e. not even worth keeping around for novelty value. So they probably will just disappear.
I'm surprised at how many PR gaffs Apple are making at the moment since they are usually quite a slick operation.
