Asus M4N68T-M LE V2 Socket AM3 DDR3 Geforce 7025 VGA Out 8 Channel Audio mATX Motherboard

I know the psu's on the cheap side, but its the only one in my budget with a gaming card power port.

Thanks!!

p.s I know the psu's a bit naff, but was thinking of this
http://www.******.com/product/255695
But I want to keep the costs as low as possible. TOTAL =£160 with this psu.

I have already managed to get a floppy style 6 in 1 card reader, a 160gb 5200rpm which will have to do for now and a standard atx case. I also will be buying a <£40 graphics card soon if budget allows.

So what do you think, a gaming machine for £150... or not.

So if I do get a graphics card, £200, is this too good to be true, I want to run all the latest games at very high fps..

Many Thanks.
Jay

The Stars theyve put in are just the '******' website, just replace that in the link!

Well the links dont work, but I know what they lead to as its not rocket science to replace the stars with the name.

Mentioning competitors and pricing is against forum rules.

What is your complete budget/

what exactly do you need?

cpu
ram
motherboard
case?
psu?
harddrive?

etc

Sorry, I'm new and had no idea.

Really I want a gaming system for £200, but I don't need a graphics card at the moment so £150.

May Include:
AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black edition 3.2ghz
4GB ram
Motherboard with descent on board graphics and sound and a PCI express
Descent Psu

Hard drive, DVD RW, case, tick

£150
any suggestions?

Never ever buy a cheap no-name budget PSU, its false economy and will struggle to deliver the power its label says it does.

You may get lucky with the CPU as the motherboard supports core unlocking, so it may/or may not turn into a true quad core CPU.

I really do want a phenom ii x4 for gaming, but does it really make a difference?

BeQuiet Pure Power L7 530W '80 Plus' Power Supply £44.99
Too much for me, The one in the second link I recommended was 650 watt and has been reviewed as really good for £30 with a graphics card socket

and if I did get an athlon, I would reduce my costs dramatically.

So why spend so much when you can get an excellent gaming rig for under £200, I don't really understand why people pay £2000+

Thanks?

too much you say?
i would rather pay £44.99 now than pay for the whole system after that cheap psu blows up my system.
and can we have the links for these "reviews"?
well i think people spend £2k+ because they can and want the best of the best

p.s i dont really have a system, still using my laptop :D

Cheap PSU's blow up, they can't deliver the power they claim they do, the system will BSOD/restart/crash, or worse go up in a cloud of smoke.

They offer no voltage protection/current protection etc.

Thats about it, if you really want a cheap PSU.
