Hello,
I recently posted for advice on a new PC build, however due to recent circumstances I will be space constrained and thus won't be able to fit a full size case.
I have increased my budget so have a budget of £900 and can go up to £950. (maybe £1k if you can convince me)
I do not need Monitor/OS/speaker/mouse/keyboard. PC will be used primarily for gaming and media. I would like this build to last a good 3-4 years before upgrading/replacing.
Old thread for reference: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18428599
The max size case I can fit is the following:
W (250mm) X H (doesn't matter) X D (420mm)
I have looked at two cases so far: Silverstone Fortress FT03 (not mini version) and Bitfenix Prodigy. The fortress seems an ideal fit but will cost more due to higher case cost + slot loader optical drive costing more. If you can recommend alternatives that would also be welcome.
I would prefer:
- i5 processor
- Nvidia card (might wait for the 660's if they launch around the £200 mark)
- SSD + 1TB HDD combo
- Modular PSU
I'd also like decent cooling, although I don't plan to overclock just yet. This is my first build so i'm relatively inexperienced with installing cpu coolers.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
