I have just purchased a new rig as my laptop i used for 3d rendering and modeling decided to give up. Looking to get advice and knowledge as this is my first higher spec build so go easy on me
Old laptop was:
Intel i5, 8gb ram, 1gb dedicated graphics card etc.....
Anyway this is what I currently have bought off a guy who had no idea what he had bought or how to put it together properly so i picked up for £360 for everything inc monitors and stuff.

· AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition 3.20GHz (Socket AM3)
· Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD3P AMD 790X (Socket AM3/AM2+) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
· Corsair Dominator 8GB (4x2GB) DDR2 XMS2 PC2-8500C5
· MSI ATI Radeon HD 6950 OC Twin FrozR III Power Edition 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
· Corsair Obsidian 800D Full Tower Case
· PSU CORSAIR GS800 GAMING SERIES
. Bigfoot Networks Killer 2100 gaming network card
Extras:
· Acer G24 Gaming Monitor
· ROCCAT Kave Headset
· Razer Mamba Mouse w/ steelseries mouse mat
· Microsoft X6 Gaming Keyboard
Now i know some of the gear is slightly outdated. But for the price i couldnt argue. I have just finished rebuilding it and giving it a service so its now all up and running. And i have ordered 3 more fans for the top of the case. I have to say the case is a monster and was one of the reasons i bought it.
