I have two 512 sticks in at the moment and have a Lanparty 915p t12 motherboard

http://www.bjorn3d.com/read.php?cID=738

Bottom line is it has four slots (but both of them are different colors on the hardware ) and I am not sure if one is slower then the other

I used an app which tells me I have Hynix DDR2 memory running at 200MHz frequency

Can anyone say with certainty what memory I can buy to make this a 4GB machine??

I tried a kingston stick (xw4200an) which did not work!!!!

According to the link you gave, the memory slots support different memory.
You have four DIMM slots, two of which are for DDR (orange) and two for DDR2 (yellow).
If you go on to the Crucial Memory selector page you will be able to find a match, but it looks like you will be limited to 2GB's

That's laptop RAM sorry. The link I posted above should be good for your board.
Here's what Crucial says: Each memory slot can hold DDR PC2700,DDR PC3200,DDR2 PC2-5300,DDR2 PC2-6400 with a maximum of 1GB per slot.*
So if you click the link, you can choose from any of the 2GB kits.
You'll want to make sure that DDR2 is also checked in the box on the left, as this will probably be cheaper to buy than DDR1.
I hope that makes sense?

This is what Crucial recommends for your board (the DDR2 is under half the price of the DDR1 in most cases, so I've filtered by that).

I would be 97.3% sure you wouldn't be able to run both (DDR1 + DDR2). However, if you take your current memory out and buy one of the kits above, you should be able to get 2GB into your machine.
