Ive just upgraded the memory on my laptop (HP 15 ec1001na) to 16GB of crucial BL2K8G32C16S4B but cpuz is showing it with a a max bandwith of DDR4 - 2667mhz instead of 3200mhz like the memory that i took out can.
Crucial has this down as being compatible with my laptop so i don't understand why its not running at max??

You will need to enable the XMP profile (or sometimes called DCOP) in the bios. Otherwise it will default to a lower frequency. There are plenty of videos on Youtube if you're not sure what to do...

You need memory that will run official JEDEC timings for 3200 in SPD and not just XMP as the bios doesn't allow you to enable XMP.

That would be the reason then.
Im happy with the performance boost over the 8GB i had and post scriptum has gone from 60-90 fps to 90/130 fps but if i was to buy any in the future what would i look out for to ensure i would get the advertised speeds.
Obviously not XMP unless it can be enabled.
