It's clear from the images that the new A class deviates from the old ones in that it's now designed to properly compete with the A3, 1 Series etc. Due out Sept 2012.

A range of economical petrol and diesel engines will be available. No doubt every company car buyer will choose the A180 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY.

I like how the nav isn't tucked away at some obscure angle in the dash. It's clear and to the point. Brilliant.

I like it.

I actually quite like it, a friend has a soot emitting B class which is pretty nice inside but way to fugly on the outside, this looks OK inside and out.

That Nav screen looks ridiculous, like somebody has fixed a cheap tablet to the dash.

It's much more than a nav screen these days isn't it? I quite like the way it is too and like the fact that it's such a large screen which would make it difficult to tuck away into the dash.

Mercedes have got this model spot on, it's what the A-class should have been years ago. I agree that the screen looks silly, but the interior is lovely otherwise.

Looks like most hatchbacks Golf, Scirroco, Megane, i30, Focus, Astra, DS4, A3, Cee'd from the back, but the front is sweeeeet. If it was the same price as an A3 then I could see it doing well, the roads need more merc's!

I imagine the costs are going to be something like:
- Base model with property spec £20k
- Mid range diesels from £25k
- AMG themed 200bhp+ models from £28K

With options you'll be looking at £30k for the start of a decent spec and engine.
