New Metallica song

I remember having similar bitter taste in mouth after first performance of "Fuel" at Donnington some years back. Back then I though I know bands who could put better tunes together in their first two months on the stage, let alone expected quartet that once wrote And Justice For All to come up with amateur hour hack chord flop like that. Of course back then no one expected Metallica to return with something like "St. Anger", which, I guess would be amusing as a one off solo project or a demo of some 16 year old south american crossover junior band, but not as a follow up to what looked like astonishing fast track career of, quite possibly, the greatest american metal band of all times. You don't get to write your Carmina Burana and then go back to searching roots in extended versions of twinkle, twinkle little star on ukulele and frying pan. If your contract is defaulted and you owe records, if don't know what to do, just do what Oldfield does - rewrite the same Tubular Bells over and over, or forever hold your peace. But don't you do sequels to what already was bad record. No reloads to loads of crap, and no Sainter Angers please.
