I'm selling my home and moving shortly. When that happens I'll have some extra liquid cash around and I want to treat myself to a new GPU and monitor.
At the moment I am using an R9-380 on a 1080p 24" Viewsonic IPS monitor
I'm going to be upgrading probably to an RTX 2060. I'd like to get a monitor to use with that.
I'd like some extra screen real estate so I am looking at either a 4K or a 1440p monitor. The game I play the most is Eve online and I multibox multiple clients at a time on that. The other games I play a lot are strategy games and RPGs. Playing at 120hz plus isn't a big draw for me.
In an ideal world I'd get an IPS monitor with HDR and g-sync running at a nice high frame rate. I understand I need to compromise. What sort of thing should I be looking at?
With a 4K monitor the idea of having 4 clients in EVE open at a time interests me a lot.
