I just got a new monitor (thanks to smilertoo!), a Dell 2005WFP and it's great. However in windows it doesnt seem to display colours properly. Every photo has a yellowish tint to it and whites are displayed as a creamy yellow kind of colour. However if I look at the same images in Firefox they are the correct colours. Whats going on? I've updated the drivers for it and I dont know what else to try.. Also when I load up photoshop it says that the colour profile for it appears to be defective, so I guess its something to do with colour profiles?

Thanks for any help.

Same thing happend to me when i installed the driver CD bundled with my samsung monitor. I just uninstalled all that crap and everything was back to normal.

You can also try changing the colour profiles. Go to Control Panel > Colour Management. Click advanced, then hit "Change System Defaults". Then go to advanced again, and change the Device profile to sRGB or something.

I have mine on "Pro Photo RGB" and it works fine.

Uninstalled the drivers, put the colour management default to pro photo RGB and its still happening. The preview on the icon thumbnail thing is the correct colouring but when you open it up in windows picture viewer or photoshop its yellowy

Weird, seems to have sorted itself out now after a few days with the profiles changed!
