I've just completed a new build on a PC but didnt upgrade my monitor, its a good one but its 6 years old and its seems that a 19" 4:3 just isn't cutting it any more!!!

Ideally looking to spend around £150 - £180 and looking for something 23"-24" and really just wondering what is a good bet?
Its so long since I bought one that I'm not even sure what the latest/best tech, etc is!

Thanks folks!

Which BenQ are you referring to? The EW2420 has multiple HDMI inputs and DVI-D.

The EW2420 has multiple HDMI inputs and DVI-D.

This and the BL version is HDCP enabled, hence you can still use its DVI port for an HDMI input as long as you have an adapter handy - these often come bundled with graphics cards. But I would not advise it if you wanted multiple HDMI devices and your main PC connected all at the same time.

Just wanted to say I'm going to go for the Samsung, I think I'd rather pay a bit more and know I'm getting really good quality! Was tempted by the BenQ but reading the threads there seems to be quite a bit of variation in quality between units.

I have used plenty of Samsung monitors and have had no issues. Every manufacturer has some 'dud' models that seem to skimp on something quality-wise here and there - especially considering budget TN models. Samsung's new models are some of the better built at the moment. If you were to avoid every manufacturer where some people have had issues with particular models you'd be out of luck buying anything at all.

Well I've had to re-think and I'm now looking for a 22" monitor on space needs!
Noticed the LG Flatron W2261V-PF which looks good for £140 or the Samsung B2230H which is similarly priced, is there any other models I should consider at a similar price range?
