Hi Everyone,
So Iv been looking for a new monitor.
Ideally I want an UW, now iv been looking around and trying to see and everything seems to point towards getting an OLED.
My issue and concern with this is the following:
1 - I use my machine for work too, which means there is often going to be static images on the monitor and I predominantly work from home using the monitor.
2 - I also play a lot of ARPGs and a fair bit of Dota, so my concern here is the static HUD elements on the monitor.
The next thing I looked for here was a Mini-LED, which apparently can be a bit of a pain because of the backlight bleed.
Also, Mini-LED seems to be far and few between for UW and almost immediately jumps to 4K.
Current GPU: RTX3080 + 5900X - I am planning to upgrade the GPU, just waiting on the next refresh of GPUs.
So I don't mind loosing some perf while waiting.
I'm just scared the 4K jump is going to hurt.
Ideally if anyone has some feedback with the same and concerns for burn-in.
Or some recommendations, currently looking at the following monitors - OLED:
Dell Alienware - AW3425DW
ACON AOC - AG346UCD
Or Philips Evnia 34 UWQHD
Budget at a stretch would be £700.
Thanks!
