New monitor?

So I have a 28" 1440p 144hz benq freesync monitor (XL2730Z) that still serves me well. However, having switched to a 1080Ti I am now considering gsync (which isn't essential since the monitor is 144hz) and 4K.

Can't decide wether an upgrade is worth it and can't seem to find many 4K monitors that are 144hz and gsync. Do I even need 144hz?

What are the options? I was looking at the acer predator xb281hk but I think that is 60hz. Thoughts? Options?

FYI if you have a 144hz monitor then desktop is set to that, your games probably won't output higher than that so is there a need to match the sync type up? Since yours is freesync monitor with nvidia GPU.

4k @ 144Hz requires an insane amount of processing power
4k @ 60Hz with g-sync is do-able though

gsync is most useful when you are not reaching frame rate cap.
with a 1080Ti I imagine you are maxing out most games anyway so wont really get much benefit from it.

1440p @ 144Hz is still pretty damn good
