New Moon

Went to see this with the girlfriend as she really wanted to see it. Very boring. All it contained was just a load of teenagers staring moodily at each other for 2 hours:confused:

It wasn't a bad film.

It was what I was expecting having read the books.

I thought it was alright, the acting wasn't up to much it seemed to just be moody teenagers, playing moody teenagers. I just have problems with vampires been all nice and loved up.

The film is / will make a fortune, it's target audiance (female & young girls) are going crazy for it.

Not really my scene but I did enjoy the movies, planning on reading the books very soon, heard that they are much better.

I think my girl card needs to be taken back. I hate hate hate Edward Cullen. He seems manipulative, smug, pained, and not that good looking. I know the whole vampire thing prevents this but he needs a good nutritious meal and a sun tan.

Bella is annoying. Stop moaning about how rubbish your life is.

Jacob can come over to my house and take his shirt off at any time though.

Finally, I think the books are poor, really disappointed with the last one, the movies aren't that much better .... but I will be going to see the next one. Why? I can't explain it.

If you enjoyed the Twilight books then make sure you check out The Southern Vampire Mysteries, they are a much better read (written from an adult rather than angst-ridden teenager point of view). They are the basis for the True Blood TV series which is also worth watching, although again is more adult in terms of content than Twilight.

I thought the film was pretty weak, but my other half said it's actually pretty close to the book (i.e. not much happens) and she enjoyed it. Personally I just found all of the characters to be emotionally stunted and the love triangle was getting old in the first film, in this one it was way beyond that!
