new motah

What on earth is wrong with that, £4k is silly cheap for a car like that.

I don't know much about it other than I WANT :D

After you have had some fun get some proper pictures and get it detailed over a weekend.

Looks OK for 4k, check it has the revised oil feeds as that helps oil supply to the turbo's a great deal.

Also consider a trip to MRC to have it checked out, they are the best 2.7TT specialist in the UK in my opinion. They offer a full diagnostic health check for around £60.

They'll give you a very good idea of it's health and what it needs doing to it.

i think revised oil feeds are braided hoses... if so, ive got em :D

before i consider MRC etc ill get the right vagcom cable for it and see whats going on. i think they charge £60 for that and then it gets astronomical after that

Seriously, I've waited all day for you to post here. Is that the best you can come up with? :D

tbh i was expecting worse :D these cars have liability written all over them, but im a pretty handy with a spanner set. this one was cheap, so worst case, ive got money left out of the original budget to sort stuff out. its a genuine low miler so suspension wise it still feels pretty good. unless there is a melt down, i dont see much needing to be spent. the front brakes for example are all only a few weeks old

Funny, but my hatred for westwood is deep routed!

firestarter, whats worth getting suspension wise? i cant wait to tackle the pinchbolts

my northwich gf has moved in with me down south. when were back up north youve got to come out and seeit

Depends whats been changed in the past but i'd get the full front kit:

Clearly before you do this jack the front of the car up and get the crowbar on the go, see whats slack.

But yea give us a shout at some point and i'll come have a look plus show you some of the better roads :p

Is this fluke or can you actually get s4 avants regularly for this cash !?!

Matt got lucky... or unlucky i suppose that's yet to be decided :p

spot on with the lucky/unlucky thing. time will tell. probably on the m1, in the dark, in the rain, when the battery on my mobile is dead :D

what i was meaning to ask was the actual springs/dampers themselves. would you know whats worth getting for the b5 platform? as for bushes, ill probably just replace the whole lot

KW stuff gets good reviews but its not cheap, i'm not sure on which rear swaybar yours has but its well worth fitting a neuspeed rear bar, other than that you can pollybush most of the front control arms but its a royal pain removing the bushings so i wouldn't bother with that.

I ended up with some Jamex coilovers, not the most amazing coilovers in the world but the build quality is acceptable and the ride quality is actually better than my mates Leon FR with stock suspension and tyres.

ill just keep my eyes open for a good deal on suspension. ill be keeping this car civilised, trying to turn an s4 into an m3 would be like peeing into the wind.

cant wait to pick the damn thing up

i cant see myself doing that tbh. given its a face lift one it could be the newer badge anyway. on an audi board they mentioned new and old badges but there wasnt much of a difference in my eyes

first mod is to get rid of those wheels...
