Hi,

I'd like to treat my self to a new mouse as the old Razer deathadder I have at the mo is like 3 years old and its showing it.

Now I prefer a wired mouse, it has to have 2 side buttons on the left like my existing razer but I would also like some extra buttons because they would come in useful in BF3.

I also seem to get like a scum appearing on the sides of the mouse and I don't think I am that dirty  Is this just due to the material on the razer or does this happen on all mouses.

And its mainly for BF3 and those types of games. I like the looks of the Logitech G400 but have no clue if its a good mouse, did used to have a G3 but the weights drove me mad lol (so no weights pls).

Logitec G9x - has adjustable weights, and a choice of 2 covers.

I like my mouse a bit weighty to keep it flat, and I also prefer a slightly more rough skin on the outside for better grip. Its a mouse you can mess around with to get it just how you like it. Best mouse I've ever had.

Edit: Only has 2 buttons on the side, no more unfortunately. And yeah every mouse gets that crap on it after long enough.

Roccat Kova or Kane.. depending on whether you like thumb rests or not

The material its made out of is great, mouse feel really good in the hand

I find it perfectly weighted; I prefer a light mouse which is not so light that you cant feel yourself moving it.. it must glide effortlessly but in a way that I can be perfectly accurate with the movements, this helps for games and photoshop etc

I also hate having a thumb rest so I went with the Roccat Kova

LOL - don't get Roccat! the wheel breaks, I've had two of them - when the second one broke I didn't even attempt an RMA I just tossed it out.

Yeah I think I am swaying towards Logitech due to their awesome customer service. So I think its between the G400 and the G9x. Ahh decisions lol

Check out the Zowie EC1 mate, feels exactly like an Intelli 3.0 in your hand. would have picked a 3.0 up when I was after a new one but you can't seem to find them anymore!

So far the EC1 is the best mouse I've had - and I've had them all! haha

My Roccat has been flawless as has a friend of mines who introduced me to the brand

Which one did you have?

http://www.hardwareheaven.com/revie...-mouse-review-user-experience-conclusion.html 9/10

Just google for reviews of the mouse

If you want a mouse that is a mouse and not something that that is just designed to look as ridiculous as possible then get a Roccat.. if you want something that looks stupid then get logitech of one of those other brands

:)

Razer Lachesis.

That same Razer feel that you're used to with your death adder, but with 4 extra buttons, 2 right side, 2 beneath the mouse wheel.

Up to 5600 dpi, ambidextrous use, no need for Razer drivers after initial set up of custom buttons - quite simply a fantastic mouse.

Was on a couple of deals recently here too at OCUK, hopefully will be so again.

.

Dont even worry about DPI, all these stupidly high numbers. Means nothing after like 2-3k, ignore them completely when people start throwing them about.

The only thing that is important is how well you see the mouse suiting your needs. Nothing else.

Edit: Also the G400-500 are some of the ugliest mice on sale. G9x looks good and works better.

Lol ok well as I have some gift vouchers for the big forest place I can get either the G9x or the Razer Lachesis for around £15 so will have a good think on it. I am liking the logitech customer service but then I also know how the razer feels and like my deathadder.

Has anyone gone from a deathadder to a Lachesis, do they feel the same?

I went from a Copperhead to a Lachesis and had an Imperator for about 2 weeks (crap).

So i've not had a lachesis but I would it would feel very different to the Deathadder. Completely different shape and size.

If you like your DA, why not just get a DA?

EDIT: Yes the scum is due to the material used on the mouse - I assume it's sweat that hardens. I enjoy cleaning it off every now and then but I don't get it that often tbh.

I have a friend thats been through about 3 razer mice in the last 2 years. He loves them but he actually buys 2 of the same mice at the same time knowing that they don't last that long. They are good mice however, cant knock em.

I hear this a lot and I don't know if I've been lucky for years or if ppl just doing something very weird with their mice like hammering the buttons hard or squeezing like an orange making juice but I've had no problems with either mice over a period of about 6 years.

I know you said you wanted a wired mouse, but having tried the Logitech G700 at my brothers, found it so good I'm buying one.

Are there no lag issues or anything with wireless mice now? As back when I got the deathadder I felt the wireless mouse I had lagged a bit.

I think wireless has improved an awful lot in recent years but something would still stop me buying one tbh. Also becuase I don't see my self wanting to/needing to use the mouse away from my desk.

Even though professional gamers still go on about the lag of a wireless keyboard or mouse I find the most common problem with them is the batteries running out mid game and just completely screwing you over! Its not the most common of problems, but when it happens my mates flip out! haha
