New Mouse... Suggestions?

I'm not happy with this cheap piece of plastic I can call a mouse that I currently use as it's really uncomfortable at times. I also want a gaming mouse because... Well I'm a gamer :D

So does anyone have any good suggestions for a comfortable, accurate and sturdy mouse that will last a while? I've already tried the Logitech G9 Laser Mouse and I hated it.

I'm currently considering a G500 and also an MX518.

Hmm. I guess I'm still sold on the MX518. I've heard bad things about Razor products. I only have on question about the MX518. Is it hard to click the mouse wheel? Most people know that you throw nades in CoD games using the mouse wheel so if its difficult to press it... Then I'm gonna say no.

I bought the MX518 alongside the Saitek Cyborg V5 keyboard just last week.

The difference between those and my old wireless mouse/keyboard when I play CSS is night and day.

Very pleased with it.

Had three mx518's and will probably get another soon just because the rest are dirty looking... nothing up with them though- great mouse.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Looks like I'm gonna go with an MX518 after all. Failing that I'll try a G500. But hopefully that won't be necessary.

MX518, Deathadder, Microsoft Intelli 1.1, Microsoft Intelli 3.0 and SteelSeries Xai are all pretty good contenders.

I think Razer Naga can come in handy as well if you play MMOs like WoW as it has like 30 side buttons, I wouldn't use one personally but another one to look out for :p

I personally use Deathadder and don't plan on switching any time soon, the tracking is perfect and it's really comfortable.

Can't really say unless you actually try them, which can be quite difficult. Then you can get ideas about the durability and other potential problems. It's not like a CPU or video card.

Usual contenders are :
- mx518 / G400.
- G500.
- Deathadder Respawn.
- SteelSeries Xai.
- Roccat Kone.

I just got a razer naga and it's probably the best £45 I've ever spent :D I don't care about the 12 side buttons, but I'd gladly spend the £45 again on it as it fits my hand perfectly :)

SteelSeries Ikari if you can find one at a decent price. I bought two because they were £20 each in Currys, but my brother ninja'd one off me.

Best, and most comfortable, mouse I've ever used though.

Microsoft Intelli 1.1 or Microsoft Intelli 3.0 either of these. Always have recommended these and always will. Most people however will recommend the MX518.

I've got soo many headshots in COD over the years using my trusty MX 518 the mouse wheel is excellent as is the position of the extra buttons
