New Mouse... Suggestions?

When I saw the title of this thread, I knew there would be a chorus of "mx518"... I may as well add my voice to it!

I've had my mx518 for a little over a year now and I'm very pleased with it. It would be the perfect mouse for me if it had Bluetrack but that most defiantly says more about by horrible mouse pad than the mouse itself.
 
I just want to know... Is it comfortable to use and does it glide easily over most things? I dont use a mouse mat so im used to just using the bare wood to rest my hand on.
