Hey, thinking of getting a new mouse. Possibly this one:

What do you lot think of it i.e. size and is it comfy to use for long hours etc? Are there any better mice out there than that one, which is NOT rechargeable and is wireless and it must be comfortable to use for long hours. I mainly play games (FPS and third person shooters etc.) and just browse the web. Will be upgrading from a microsoft wireless optical mouse. Don't really want to spend much more than the £40 region. Thanks

thanks for the reply but I am still not so keen on wired mice. What do the rest of you think of the logitech MX 1100 mouse?

i have had a wired mouse before and i didn't like it, just clutters the desk with more wires and i can view my pc from my bed at night time and a wireless mouse allows me to lye in bed and use it without restriction :D

I use this mouse (mx1100) and I think it's fantastic. I play loads of games (FPS & RPG mainly) and it works brilliantly with them all. Also, I find it perfect for uni work, the scroll wheel needs to be used to be believed - especially in big excel sheets/long web pages.

The non-rechargeable batteries is a good call. I moved from a rechargeable mouse to this, and its so much easier, I think I change the batteries twice a year and I use this thing every day.

All-in-all a fantastic mouse and would certainly recommend. 3 of my friends went out and got one after using mine and they are also very happy with it.

ok thanks, yeah will never touch a rechargeable mouse until the battery life is improved. Would really like to get the MX revolution but unfortunately its only rechargeable and just the thought of playing a game and then getting a red light for battery life remaining would **** me off cause you would need to charge it for like 2 hours or something to be able to use it again for only like 8 hours or something and also the price is a bit much as well.

I upgraded to the MX1100 from the MX revolution, the 1100 is the superior in every way. It is more comfortable, has a higher DPI sensor, no annoying document flip wheel (the mx1100 has it as a concealed button), 1100's wheel setting is changed with a separate button (the revolution did it by clicking down the mouse wheel, effectively removing the mouse wheel button as a usable button) and the addition of an on-the-fly DPI switcher to the 1100 is very useful.

ive got a logitech mx900,, it last a good 14hrs before it needs a charge, that should be enough gaming for anyone :P,, im sure the newer models must be better ?

How long does it take for a full charge? Still probably keep to the batteries though as they would last a lot longer I think.

That is pretty good battery life. I have to change my batteries about 4-6 times a year and plus i can't turn my mouse of either. cmndr_andi do you keep your mouse turned on all the time even when your not using it or do you turn it off?

I keep it on (power switch to "on" at least) but I think the mouse puts itself in a low power state if left for a while. This suits me fine, takes a fraction of a second to wake up. Doesn't seem to harm the battery life much.

I only turn it off when i'm taking it somewhere.

Just read another thread there about someone who bought a 2.4GHz mouse and is now having issues with his wireless internet and his mouse (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18060631)

I am on a wireless network as well but the router (netgear) is in another room and I am using a USRobotics Wireless MAXg USB Adapter (http://www.usr.com/support/product-template.asp?prod=5421) to connect to the router, however the wireless adapter is at the other side of my room if that would make any difference at all.

Will I have issues with the MX1100 and my wireless internet?

I am starting to quite like the razer death adder blue (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-023-RA&groupid=702&catid=23&subcat=1257) mouse even though it is wired. I tried my old lenovo wired laser mouse and it does feel a bit more responsive when playing FPS. I take it the razer death adder blue is a far better mouse for gaming than the logitech MX1100, also are there any better gaming wired mice than the razer death adder around the same price (not including the logitech MX518, G5, microsoft habu and also the Saitek Cyborg Adjustable Gaming Laser Mouse)?

Also does any one know how long it will take for the razer death adder to come back in stock?

Thanks

the death adder is so comfy in the hand its unbelievable
i did a side by side evaluation of the death adder , Lachesis and g5

the feel of the build quality felt know were near as good on the g5 and did not sit in the hand as well as the death adder
and the Lachesis just would not of worked for me apart from in games and again was not as comfy
saying that if i had not had them all side by side on my desk id of been happy with any of them
the only thing i could see myself changing for is this(when it comes down in price)

its the same shape as the death adder

Thanks for the reply niko. Yeah it is a very nice mouse, I love the blue neon pulse logo. Any one else got any thoughts on the razer death adder blue VS logitech MX1100?

Also any idea when the razer death adder will come back in stock?
