New MSN Beta Beta!

Ok, i've been using MSN Live Beta for about 4 months now, and today suddenly, it informs me that there is a new version availble, so i let it update...

Its still MSN Live Beta, but now Apatch doesnt work! Is there a new apatch available or something similar!?

You do know, that if you run a-patch, or anything that modified the EXE file for messenger then certain functions will no longer work, such as shared folders.

I think i actually like the old skin better, much more colourful and you could change the colour of certain people. But i suppose this skin would go better with vista, from what iv seen of it.

It definetely didnt work on mine, which i a-patched straight away, after checking with microsoft on the beta newsgroups they replied that any modification to the EXE file would result in certain features not working, this is due to a CRC check being done on the original EXE and if it doesnt match what it should be then its denied, this is supposedly done to stop modifications which could cause virus spread etc.

love the new skin! muchos better than the old rounded one, i like my lines nice and straight! and as minimalistic as possible!

As for the new skin, I kinda like it but they really need to sort out the colours. I have mine set to pure black, yet the window only looks kinda silver :/

Actually, thing that annoys me is now you cant tell how many of your contacts are online (i.e, it used to say 4/10) or whatever, not it just says '10', but they could all either be online or offline! meh!

there's a fix in the newer apatch that keeps shared folders working

not tried it on the 566 build yet

its almost perfect now, they just need to re add how many people are online in each group

Much like my screenshot above, I can easily tell how many out of 27 are online by looking at the offline box.

if they're sorted by groups then it doesn't show online/offline!

I hate it tbh, i found the other skin to be a lot better and this one hurts my eyes. Too white for me
