New N95 firmware = AGPS

 The firmware was only released as a beta, so its not avaliable yet to the public.

I just think the whole " Support Package" is bad

I meen we have had 1 update since the launch of the N95 of which most people cant download because of the network.

It should be nothing to do with the bloody networks

It's got a lot to do with the networks. They're obviously going to protect their business interests by changing firmware around to take away features that would be detrimental to themselves. Stuff like VOIP which is on the N95, obviously isn't going to be on there after the networks get their hands on it. I mean, it'd be corporate suicide if they started letting people make calls for free using the internet without having something to say about it themselves.

a) All of the networks iirc have updates for the last update now. b) It has got nothing o do with Nokia, its down to the networks themselves. c) The phone has been out for 2 months, 1 update and 1 on its way isnt too bad imo. At any rate the phone runs well without the 1st update.

My apologies. I figured all networks had taken the VOIP functionality out. I haven't managed to get my N95 yet due to Orange having no stock available :(

T-Mobile certainly don't take any functionality out of the phone. However, their Web 'n' Walk package doesn't let you use VOIP unless you pay them significantly more for it - this seems a much fairer and more reasonable way of doing things than disabling it in the phone, which doesn't just prevent you from using it on their network but also stops you using it through WLAN, for example.
