New Need for Speed?

http://www.needforspeed.com/en_GB/beta-sign-up

Beta sign up. Only for console users. Closes 25 september.

Signed up, cheers.

I haven't played a NFS since my PS2 days. This however, looks brilliant. If it isn't an official Underground game, it looks a lot like it and has a lot of the features you'd want.

I can't understand people who can't accept handling to be non-realistic and 'Arcadey'. It's not a sim racer!

Just applied for the beta on both consoles, I wasn't really interested in this until I saw a news article this morning about it being pushed back to next year on PC. I've seen a few videos and an interview with Leanne somebody and it does look pretty interesting. Hopefully the soundtrack is as good as the first NFSU. :D

Enjoy
Q) How many cars can we own at any one time?
A) We believe in creating a bond and relationship with your cars. It's about finding a ride and taking it from stock, to stock plus awesome through some of the deepest customization in Need for Speed history. You will have a five car garage - if you fill all your spaces, you can chose to sell and purchase a new car, or continue to max out your current ride through the extensive performance upgrades available to you so you can take on anyone on the streets.

And for anyone confused...
Q) What is the name of the game?
A) Need for Speed

ps3ud0

I actually think the 5 car garage is a good thing. Coming from games like Forza, I have hundreds of cars of which very few get used so 95% of them are meaningless.

I don't see any problem with it either although I haven't played that many racing games, let alone any of the recent NFS series. I remember having a few cars in the old ones such as Underground 2, but certainly not hundreds or tens.

It may be a problem though, if you lose all the car modifications you make? As you might not like the new car you buy and would prefer to revert back.

Yeah, the 5 car thing isn't a problem for me, five pimped out cars would be plenty, I normally work my way up to the car I want and stick with that for the duration anyway.
