Its it reading to much that this was maybe done with a Lumia Pureview with some decent kind of image stabilization built in?

Re the Samsung one - Really? I still maintain 4.3" is the limit for phones, and people should really be putting out 720p panels at that size. Plus with the W8 kernel they should really be putting out quad cores imo.

You mean the Quad cores that are only marginally better, with a Kernal made from the ground up with optimisation in mind?

Until I see that it runs as well as WP7, I'll expect quad core hardware if we're paying quad core prices. No matter how well the OS runs, various apps will need the power.

No, it doesn't. Photo editing is a bigger one though.

But gaming and multitasking make use of them, and it's about futureproofing as much as anything. Apps on Wp7 were very limited, partly because of hardware, partly because of lack of developers.

The phone looks good, but way to big for me. I like the look of it as well, bar that colour.

Their tablets though are disappointing.

Please Nokia, deliver us a whole range of phones and tablets.

Has the definition of multitasking been changed, cause I've seen no real multitasking on ANY mobile or tablet device.

W8 you can multitask at least on tablet. Using split screen. So run video on 2/3rds of screen and website on 1/3 of screen for example.

Feature I can't wait for. The amount of times I've wanted things like YouTube, f1 live tv, confrence streaming (like all these phone announcements) running and to browse at same time.

Split screen demo starts at 3:30

Would love it if it was half and half or a bit more flexible with how much space each app could take.

Yeah would be good. They did it so that apps can be scaled properly. Between all the screen sizes win8 allows so it all runs smoothly and developers don't have to test a thousand combinations. So at least there's a reason for it.

But current windows apps tend to scale well if you keep it above the minimum size. The idea with websites now is to have a design that scales well to almost any res you put it at, I believe this is the future for apps so you can just ahve 1 app that looks different at certain res. I think something like 1/4 view 1/2, 3/4 and full size view wouldnt take too much more dev time and would increase the useability of the mult-tasking, cause lets face it theres only a few things that would run very well at 1/4 screen size.

But overall I think the idea is great for tablet, atleast allowing us to maybe watch something and talk with friends or I could see it be going for gaming and having some social app running aswell with friends.
