New Nvidia drivers out

Does this fix the nvidia desktop color profile from resetting everytime the computer is booted or a game started in fullscreen mode?

I can't even get them installed! Just won't go through even after doing a clean install and multiple other things. Old drivers aren't installing either. I don't know what else to try now. :/

lol all those times I never did see the stutter bug that was supposed to plague everyone, this time I am seeing the stutter bug grrrrr

I turned settings to low and getting 80-90fps but stuttering.

I saw the stutter bug with a previous beta, which is why I thought safer to stay with the whql drivers as they work!

Worst drivers I have tried

Will carry on using 301.42 for 2 cards and 306.23 for one card.

Also 310.70 freezes system up when installing when running quad sli.

Those of you getting stuttering in FC3 try this:

Add this MaxFps="60" Gfx_Maxfps="60"
after showfps="1" in your GamerProfile.xml no more microstuttering. You have to mark GamerProfile.xml as "read only".

Was from Guru3d forums....change 60 to 120 if on 120hz monitor.

@Greg,

Genuinely sorry to hear about the stutter bug rearing it's ugly head again.:(

Instead of trying to eak out slight performance improvements, both Nvidia and AMD should be trying harder to iron out blatant series problems-stutter bug-hdmi to name but one each for each camp.

Although this must be the worst problematic series I've ever taken notice of regarding Nvidia drivers and possibly a design issue as well. :(

Just to let you know, the new 12.11 beta 11 has sorted out FC3 performance and it's absolutely flying now@1080p on full ultra on my setup greg, smooth cut scenes too now.

Glad you have it running sweet Tommy and agreed on the Nvidia front. The reply I got on reporting the stutter problem was laughable. I was told the reson it is stuttering is because I have SLI enabled now! Great news

Oh well, maybe they have a fix soon and I have plenty of other games to enjoy but I was so looking forward to this game.

installed these last night, fired up some farcry 3 today.

everything set to ultra and FOV set to 90

get around a 10 fps increase in most areas. Dont see the micro stutter that some have reported.

Both cards sitting at 98% usage

2560x1440 resolution

no problems for me with far cry 3 @ 6040x1080, smooth 50fps ish, dx9 looks exact same as dx11 (but with better draw distance) if you tweak it and runs much better too

let us know how you get on Greg, will be interesting to compare

Just played it for a couple of hours on DX9 and pretty smooth. Graphics not too bad either. I didn't have Afterburner on, so I am not sure on fps but felt pretty smooth and this was on 306.23 drivers.

I will give the new betas a run out tomorrow with the same settings. I will run AB as well (I was just seeing if it was smooth and I kinda got carried away tonight :D)
