We'll i am gettting old. :D

To get on topic :p, id just get the GTX, new GTS won't beat out the GTX, Nvidia have stated they won't replace GTX/Ultra as the top cards, and the new GTS only has a 256bit bus, it will be close to the GTX, but it won't beat it, GTX will beat it at high resolutions with lots of AA/AF. :)

The GTX is a lot more money. And doesnt justify the cost. Not when new cards are coming that are so close.

The GTX is end of line and buying one now when the 9800 series is coming in Feb is maddness and a waste of money.

It will more than likely be on Par.

With the GTX beating it at higher resolutions with AA and AF.

Certainlynot worth buying one with the new cards so close.

Ah that's nice then, I was planning on buying a GTS and getting rid of the GTX, but in that case I'll wait out for the next gen. :)

If yu already have a GTX then selling it for 300+ has assed you by.

Keepit and wait for the next Gen.

Only reason people sold their GTX was when they could get 300 for them.

And lose a few FPS in games with a GT.

You won't get 300 for a GTX come next gen.

If you aren't confident building your own system and like the idea of a guarenteed overclock then by all means go for it.

To Ben M, yeah, you did mess up. The rig in question only has a 500gig HD, and you forgot the DVD burner :) So it'd probably work out around a ton cheaper to buy it all seperate.

Oh my, all that fuss over what days the weekly special runs while at the same time advising someone on a possible £1000+ purchase :D

or you could really mind-the-pennies and get a 8800GT _now_ (ish) and then save the cash for a 9800 in feb/march...
