New NVME SSD showing 200 hours and 3Tb writes and 297 power on count

Hi,

Bought a supposedly brand new NVME SSD from a shop on ebay (one with 100% feedback and a genuine seemingly good shop). However, i installed it today and crystal disk info shows it having quote a lot of usage

Total host read - 4342 GB
total host writes - 2822 GB
Power on - 397 Hours
power on hours - 205 hours

That sounds very much like this has been used right....?

Also, it was formatted already in ex fat (i didn't need to initialize it or format it).

So you would say its obviously been used? I just wonder if it could be a bug, but i doubt it.

Was it sold as brand new or used demo? Might have been in a rig they had in the store etc, either way if your not happy send it back.

Was sold as brand new. It did have a seal on it too and did look new. The serial number matches the box etc and the drive seems genuine and has 100% health.

I now think its more than likely a manufacturer refurbished one. Perhaps not the sellers fault or intention (maybe their supplier is fobbing them off)
