Oh dear bit of a new low, re relasing and old single, its a bit like admitting defeat. ie their new songs just arent up to scratch.

dont be silly. they are releasing a best of album. so they are releasing a track thats off that album. Masterplan never actually got released as a single anyway(technically). it was a b side

Have to agree it seems a bit lame churning it out again, it was the title track of their B-sides collection about six years ago.

Exactly right, so much anticipation they'd get back to their best with each album but good songs have been sporadic.

the last album was class

besides it harsh saying that their albums arent as good as the first 2. they maybe arent but they are still cracking albums and better than most of the **** that gets released these days

They only released a 'Best Of' so they could get out of the contract with Sony. So i would assume, any releases of it are up the record company.

Yeh its still pretty lame tho! Releasing a song thats 10 years old, that's been a b-side as well as already featured on an other album.

I used to be a huuge Oasis fan, and they still write some good songs, but unfortunately their inability to change a bit/write as many good quality songs really tested my liking of them.

ps - I cannot believe Lyla is on that album, think how many other decent tracks they didnt put in for THAT.

wtf

why do they get them and we dont

Always the same, the Japanese always seem to get extra tracks,I dunno why!

However I think 'Roll with it' was a pretty strange choice.

I don't think it was. I saw an interview with Noel and he said that Sony were going to release a greatest hits album (which Oasis weren't keen on) whether they liked it or not so they jumped in to do 'a proper job' by choosing the tracks etc.

Big fan here, got all their albums and to me they were probably one of my two biggest brit bands I've loved listening to in the past. Their gigs in Maine Rd, Mancs and at Earls court were the stuff of legends.

They've got a good selection of tracks there, sadly a lot are missing but they've got limited space to cover. I'd like to have seen Little by Little there though.
