New OCUK pre-built keeps hard locking

Hi, got a new build from here that keeps hard locking needing a hard restart. Only symptoms seem to be audio hanging on an audio note endlessly during normal use then the hard freeze. Already reset BIOS to default settings and a cursory look through Event Viewer (which I'm no expert in) only showed various DCOM issues which I doubt are responsible and Googling the numbers gave me a trillion generic responses. Is there any other log or setting I can check to get to the bottom of this? Nothing installed beyond fresh Win 10, MB drivers and browser/Photoshop etc. Nvidia is latest as well.

OC do state they will go through troubleshooting with you on the phone. I suggest making a topic on the customer services forum requesting a phone call at a convenient time.

I'm deaf so that wouldn't be much good! Only know the audio goes funny because my Brother told me! :p Have made a thread in the hidden section, but only got told to reset BIOS to default so far. Memtest is fine and being new it's got to just be something software-related. Rather than the headache and downtime of a return and wait, I was hoping to troubleshoot the potential cause if there's a log area that could prove informative?

Going to see if there's new drivers than what's on the MB CD tomorrow and update BIOS so I can get Win 11 installed. Only get a few hours free a day to do these things so it's dragging a bit.

Probably end up being a GeForce driver doing this! Had untold errors on another machine running LTSC due to Nvidia shenanigans!

Okay. For here, listing spec and what you've done since the issue started occurring? What normal use does the computer involve.

Put this into your original post, that should encourage others to jump in.

Done BIOS and a few other bits as MB drivers were out of date compared to the online ones available. Updated GPU drivers as well and went up to Win 11. 4 hours all in and nowt crashed even though I ran Furmark and Intel Burn Test. See how it goes in the next few days. Reliability Monitor just had many cases of Live Kernel Event errors with various numbers which Googles up very little of use. "117" "141" etc.

Stable so far other than the ASUS 'Armoury Crate' junk crashing my system at startup so that's for the bin. Hopefully smooth sailing after.
